2. What BoxOfficeLoco Is

BoxOfficeLoco is a free, informational awareness project of Veterans for Peace. It compares the number of on-screen killings in popular films to the human cost of real-world war, to prompt reflection on how entertainment portrays violence. It is a resource for thought and discussion — not a data authority.

3. About the Figures — Estimates, Not Authoritative Data

You acknowledge that:

• On-screen "kill counts" are counting judgments that vary by source and methodology; where a count is not from a cited source we mark it as an estimate.
• War-casualty figures are approximate historical estimates (this site frames them as U.S. casualties over a war's span) and are debated among historians.
• Comparisons are illustrative — a rate over time, not a precise equivalence — and are meant to provoke reflection, not to state a scientific finding.
• The data may contain errors or omissions; if you spot one, please tell us.

4. Acceptable Use

Please use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems, and do not scrape or reuse the content in a way that misrepresents it or violates the rights of the underlying sources.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential, for the activity under your account, and for providing accurate information.

6. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

The site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Film titles, characters, posters, and related properties are the trademarks and copyrights of their respective owners, referenced here for commentary and identification. Film data is drawn from third-party sources (below) and remains subject to their terms.

We are grateful to these sources and are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party data.

9. Supporting Veterans for Peace

BoxOfficeLoco is a project of Veterans for Peace. Any option to support Veterans for Peace links to their own organization; donations are handled by Veterans for Peace under their policies, not on this site.

10. Changes to the Site and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the site at any time, and we may revise these Terms. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date; by continuing to use the site you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
